Yes. You can meet me at my practice on Södermalm in Stockholm, or choose online sessions via video or phone. We can also combine the two over time if that fits your everyday life better.
Individual sessions are 45 minutes. Couples sessions are 60 minutes. The time is reserved exclusively for you (or for both of you), with plenty of space for reflection and conversation.
The first session is a calm opportunity to get to know each other. We’ll go through your situation, your background, and what you hope psychotherapy can help you with. You don’t need to prepare anything—we’ll explore together what feels most important to start with.
In psychodynamic therapy (PDT), the focus is on emotions, relationships, life history, and patterns that repeat in your life. We’re interested both in what’s happening here and now and in how earlier experiences influence you today.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) focuses more on behaviours, thoughts, and practical strategies for everyday life. Both are well-established forms of psychotherapy—what fits best depends on your needs and what you want to work on. As a psychologist in Stockholm, I can help you decide what’s most helpful based on your situation.
Psychotherapy is a form of professional treatment where you, together with a licensed psychologist or psychotherapist, explore emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. The aim is to gain understanding, create change, and find more sustainable ways of dealing with what feels difficult—whether that involves anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship issues, or self-esteem. Psychotherapy can take place both in person at my practice on Södermalm and as online sessions.
In psychodynamic therapy, we explore emotions, relationships, and patterns that recur in your life. We’re interested both in what’s happening here and now in your everyday life and in how earlier experiences influence you today. The goal is for you to understand yourself better and gain more freedom to choose how you want to live and relate to others.
Psychodynamic therapy can be a good fit if you want deeper self-understanding and to work with recurring emotional patterns, relationships, or inner conflicts. It can be helpful for anxiety, low mood, self-criticism, or relationship difficulties, for example. The approach is especially suitable if you’re curious about how earlier experiences shape life today.
In psychotherapy, we work using evidence-based methods supported by research. Sessions are more structured than everyday conversations and are guided by your goals, your life situation, and what you want to change or understand better. The frame—time, place, confidentiality, and focus—is there so you can work in depth on what matters to you.
Most people come once a week, but the format is tailored to your needs, goals, and life situation. At certain times, we may space sessions out to every other week or every three weeks. The plan is always adapted to your needs and circumstances.
The length of psychotherapy varies. Some people choose a shorter course of 12–20 sessions, while others need longer-term treatment over a longer period. We’ll talk together about what’s reasonable based on your situation, your wishes, and what you want to work on.
Yes—you can start with one or two sessions to see whether the format and our collaboration feel right. It’s completely okay to wait before deciding about a longer course of therapy until you’ve had time to get a sense of how it feels.
Therapy can be helpful for stress, worry, anxiety, low mood, sleep problems, relationship issues, or when you want to understand yourself and your reactions better. Sometimes it’s not about a clear crisis, but a sense of getting stuck in the same patterns again and again—psychotherapy can often make a real difference there.
It’s more common than most people think. You don’t need to have a clearly defined problem in advance. As your therapist, it’s my responsibility to help you find a focus, ask questions, and explore together what turns out to be important.
Finding the right psychologist is about both training and the feeling in the room. It can help to look at experience, therapeutic orientation (for example psychodynamic therapy or CBT), and whether what you want help with matches the psychologist’s expertise. My recommendation is also to notice how it feels in the session: does it feel safe and respectful enough for you to talk about what matters? You’re always welcome to try a session with me and then see if it feels right.
You might seek psychological support for stress, worry, anxiety, low mood, burnout, sleep problems, relationship difficulties, or recurring self-critical thoughts. You don’t have to wait until it feels “bad enough”—it’s enough that you feel you’d like support to feel and function better in everyday life.
Yes. As a licensed healthcare professional, I am bound by confidentiality under Swedish law. This means what you share in therapy is not passed on, except in a small number of situations where healthcare staff are legally required to act to protect life and safety.
Your personal data and clinical records are handled in accordance with the GDPR and applicable Swedish healthcare legislation. Only the information needed for safe, secure care is stored, and it is processed in systems designed for psychological treatment.
